URLNOW.ME ("URLNOW.ME", "we", or "us") is a product operated by GoProgs Technologies Pvt Ltd (SECP Incorporation No. 0190060). This Policy describes what data we collect, how we collect it, how we share it, and your rights around it. It works in conjunction with our Terms of Use; capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

1 Controller and Processor
Data protection laws differentiate between "controllers" (who decide why and how to process personal information) and "processors" (who process on a controller's behalf).
- When you create a URLNOW.ME Link as a registered User, we act as a controller.
- When you click on a URLNOW.ME Link created by a User, we act as a processor for that User.
Broadly, we use Personal Information to further our legitimate interests to:
- understand who our users are;
- manage our relationship with you and other Users;
- carry out core business operations such as billing and fulfilling regulatory obligations; and
- help detect, prevent, or investigate security incidents, fraud, and other abuse.
2 Information We Collect
While using our Services we may collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you ("Personal Information"). This does not include aggregated or de-identified information.
2.1 Directly from you
You may provide us with Personal Information when you create an account, complete forms, contact support, or interact with the Site.
2.2 Collected automatically
- Log Data. Our servers may automatically record information that your browser sends when you create or use a URLNOW.ME Link, including IP address, device settings (such as browser type, operating system, language), the time and date of access, the referring website, and analytics on link sharing on third-party services.
- Mobile devices. We may collect identifiers broadcast from your mobile device when visiting our Services.
- Cookies and similar technology. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- Security and abuse-prevention data. We process session identifiers, security tokens, request details, signs of repeated or unusual activity, and account action records to help confirm account actions, enforce account and workspace permissions, and detect misuse.
2.3 From other sources
- Social media services. If you share a URLNOW.ME Link or sign in via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., we may receive account or profile information per your settings on those services.
No special category of personal data. We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or political data) through the Services.
3 How We Use Your Information
We use Personal Information to:
- operate the Site and provide the Services;
- process and complete requested transactions;
- pursue our legitimate interests where your interests and fundamental rights do not override them;
- comply with legal or regulatory requirements;
- enforce our Terms of Use and as otherwise described in this Policy.
4 Categories of Personal Information
The chart below summarizes the categories of Personal Information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, and the categories of third parties with whom they may be shared.

5 How We Share Your Information
Because the Services exist to share information through short links, some Personal Information may be shared with third parties as described below.
5.1 URLNOW.ME links you create
When you create a URLNOW.ME Link, the shortened URL and the original URL it refers to are publicly available to anyone provided with, or who has access to, the URLNOW.ME Link. Account management tools are protected separately by sign-in and permission checks, but those controls do not make a shared short link private.
5.2 Information shared with Users
We may share Personal Information with our Users as described in this Policy. The User who created a link may view aggregated information about clicks and views, including how often the link was shared, geographic regions where it was viewed, and identification of social networks or websites on which it appears.
5.3 Inside an Organization
If you join an Organization (a multi-user workspace on URLNOW.ME), additional information becomes visible to other people in that workspace:
- Your name and email are visible to other members on the members page.
- Organization Owners and Admins can see every short link created within the workspace, including the destination URL, alias, click count, and the identity of the member who created it.
- Members see only the short links they personally created; they do not see other members' links.
- Aggregate analytics (total clicks, top contributors, last-7-day trends) are visible to Owners and Admins.
- You may belong to multiple Organizations. Membership in one Organization is not visible to members of any other Organization.
- If an Owner or Admin sends you an invitation, your email is stored in our system until the invitation is accepted, declined, cancelled, or expired (14 days by default).
- Removing yourself from an Organization, or having an Owner remove you, does not delete your URLNOW.ME account or links created outside the Organization.
5.4 Custom domain DNS lookups
When an Organization registers a custom domain (e.g. go.acme.edu), we perform DNS
lookups (TXT and CNAME records) against that domain solely to verify ownership and to serve
short links from it. We do not query, store, or analyze any other content from the registered
domain.
5.5 Service providers
We may employ third-party companies to facilitate, provide, or improve our Services, or to perform Site-related services (maintenance, database management, web analytics, payment processing, fraud detection, and similar). These third parties have access to Personal Information only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
5.6 Analytics and search engine providers
We may share Personal Information with analytics and search engine providers that help us improve and optimize the Services.
5.7 Feedback
We may collect feedback from you about your experience to compare it with other Users and improve the Services. Feedback is the property of URLNOW.ME, and we may share it with third parties.
5.8 Acquisition, merger, or bankruptcy
URLNOW.ME may sell, transfer, or otherwise share some or all its assets, including Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy.
5.9 Disclosures without your consent
We may disclose information in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or in connection with any legal process, or to comply with relevant laws. We may also share information in an emergency, to establish or exercise our rights, to defend against a legal claim, or to investigate suspected fraud or violations of our policies.
5.10 Disclosures with your consent
We will share information about you when you instruct us to do so — for example, when you share a URLNOW.ME Link or content with others through the Services.
We may also share aggregated information that does not identify you, including non-identifying Log Data for industry analysis, demographic profiling, and similar purposes.
6 Marketing & Advertising
We use Personal Information to tailor our marketing and advertising. We may share information with third-party ad networks (such as Google Doubleclick) and social media companies (such as Facebook and Instagram). When we provide data to agencies and ad networks for targeted advertising, we do not provide your name, financial information, or any sensitive information. We use online identifiers (such as email, cookies, and device identifiers) to provide targeted advertising.
We may also use aggregate information to help advertisers reach the audiences they want to target.
To opt out of targeted advertising, you may use these third-party tools:
7 Do Not Track Signals
Your browser may transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry consensus on how to respond, and unless and until the law requires us to do so, we do not monitor or act with respect to those signals.
8 Email Marketing
If you sign up for our Services, we may send you marketing emails. You can opt out at any time by selecting "unsubscribe" in any marketing email you receive from us. Even if you opt out, you will still receive transactional emails (such as account actions, policy updates, and similar communications).
9 International Transfers
Your Personal Information may be transferred to service providers and trusted partners with processing facilities outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") solely to provide the Services to you. The privacy laws in some destination countries may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. URLNOW.ME takes reasonable measures to ensure that adequate security is in place to safeguard the integrity of your information on transfer.
10 Retention
We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. We may retain and use it longer to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements and policies.
11 Your Data Rights
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete some or all of your Personal Information. You may no longer be able to use the Services unless you create a new account.
- Change or correct. You can edit some Personal Information through your account; you can also ask us to correct it where it is inaccurate.
- Object, limit, or restrict ("Opt-Out"). You can ask us to stop or limit our use of your Personal Information — for example, to object to processing for marketing purposes.
- Access and take your information. You can ask for a copy of your Personal Information, including in machine-readable form.
- Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your data rights.
Some requests are subject to verification. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may exercise the right to deletion or access. We cannot respond if we cannot verify your identity or authority. You do not need an account to exercise the Right to Know or Right to Delete; we treat requests through your password-protected account as sufficiently verified for information associated with that account.
12 Personal Information Sales — Opt-Out / Opt-In
URLNOW.ME does not sell personal information to third parties for monetary value. To the extent "sale" is interpreted under applicable laws to include interest-based advertising or other data uses described in Sections 3 and 5, we will comply with those laws. Read more in our Cookie Policy.
To exercise the Right to Opt-Out, you (or your authorized representative) may submit a request by emailing hi@urlnow.me. After an opt-out, we will wait at least twelve (12) months before asking you to reauthorize Personal Information sales. Opting out may impact the availability or quality of some of our Services.
13 Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us. URLNOW.ME uses standard physical, technical, and administrative measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification. However, no system or network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and we do not guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit on or through the Services.
Our safeguards include sign-in sessions, checks that help confirm account actions, limits on repeated activity, link-safety validation, and role-based access for account and Organization data. These measures are designed to reduce unauthorized manipulation and abuse, but you remain responsible for protecting your account, browser session, and devices.
14 Not Directed to Children
Our Services are not directed to persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. We do not knowingly "sell" the Personal Information of minors as defined under applicable law (including the CCPA).
If you are a parent or guardian of a minor under 16 using our Services, contact hi@urlnow.me to request deletion of any Personal Information we may have collected. For privacy reasons we may request proof of relationship.
15 Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and posting the new version. Please review the Policy periodically. If you do not agree to changes, do not continue to use the Services.
16 Links to Third-Party Websites
Our Services, email updates, and other communications may contain links to other websites, including those of partner networks, advertisers, and affiliates. Those websites have their own privacy policies; we do not accept responsibility or liability for them.
